We didn’t know what we were doing when we started. Just a couple new friends who met each other through the car community and wanted to make something new, just for them. A community where respect is earned, not given.
Capital Mischief embodies our idea of how to truly compete in AutoCulture, through organization, competition, style, and creativity. However, the culture we were joining was a turbulent one. With the norm being events getting shut down, modified vehicles being pulled over for little to no reason, tracks being shut down, laws and regulations that make it increasingly difficult to modify vehicles, the dangers of clout, and more hazards, we always knew we had to operate in a certain fashion to achieve success.
Over 4 years, we grew from hosting taco tuesdays in parking lots to throwing car shows at race tracks. Cars & boba is a meet that will always be remembered fondly by many, as the send off cars & boba was the largest meet we’ve ever had. But as stated, the waters are choppy for car enthusiasts in America in the 2020’s. This has pushed us to make events more exclusive, as we find the most joy & best times in hosting private & close friends events and cruises. Cruise Fam (CF Fam), thank you for your support and dedication over the years as we’ve grown our close friends to over 1,000+ modified cars in & around the DMV without a single private event getting busted.
Since our inception, our members have competed in SCCA & AutoX competitions around the DMV, racking up various medals & pole positions. We’ve had members build unique rides to enter in car shows up & down the east coast & come back with *some* hardware. And Of course, we’ve been keeping a presence south of the border in Mexico. Close calls, long nights, broken parts, sacrificed weekends and more all to compete with the cars that they’ve built with pride & love.
